Joseph A. “Joe” Green in Faulkner County is seated on the bottom left of the first picture of an Arkansas hunting camp that dates sometime between 1910 and 1920. (A car enthusiast could probably better date the photo with a look at the car in the background, left) These men have hunting horns, pump and double-barrelled shotguns, and a host of hounds. Note the African American man seated in the front. He has no gun, no hunting horn, and does not hold a dog leash. Green is pictured at the same camp in the second photograph. Note the hunting horns hung on the right side of the picture. Coleman lanterns hang on each side of the structure. They were first produced around 1914.
