Early Arkansas Hunters: Young Darrel Stephens

Circa 1940. Logan County resident Darrel G. Stephens (November 17, 1924) with his headlamp, coon dog, hunting horn, and a .22 rifle. Stephens was born in Scranton, in extreme northern Logan County. In 1940, he lived at Shoal Creek with his mother, Inez, and sister, Mary Sue. He made $10 a month delivering papers, which may explain his accouterments.
