This is an image of the cover of the original bylaws of the Big Lake Club, founded in 1886 near Wrightsville and Woodson, approximately 14 miles south of Little Rock. This should not be confused with the Big Lake Shooting Club near Manila in northeast Arkansas. It was one of the earliest hunting land-owning clubs in Arkansas. It lasted from 1886 to 1943. During World War II, the land and clubhouse (around 3,000 acres with a 1,600-acre lake) were put up for sale. It was sold in 1946.
